Hey, I haven’t done one of these in a while.

Canada’s federal election is tomorrow, and I will definitely be at the polling station, like many more of you. I’ll do things a little differently though, intentionally spoiling my ballot.

I live in a riding where the winner won over 80% of the vote last time. Until Canada gets proportional representation, a vote for anybody else in my riding is wasted.

For about a week, I was without internet. What was wrong?

When the garbage truck came down my back alley last week, it snapped the phone line going into my house. One would think that if they snapped a phone line, they would be able to hear it and maybe leave a little note for the homeowner. I guess that would be taking responsibility for one’s actions.

We had a total of 10 entries in the book giveaway, 4 comments plus 6 new twitter followers. The winner is… (drumroll please)

Jared, congratulations! I’ve emailed you for your address so I can send the book. Hope you enjoy it.

When are we going to learn to have these things on military bases in the middle of nowhere?

If you’re a Canadian stock market investor, chances you’ve watched an episode or two of Market Call. If you’re unfamiliar with the show, various fund managers and financial experts go on the show to answer viewers’ questions on stocks. I used to watch it every day, however lately I don’t watch it as often as I used to.

Who are your favorite guests on the show? Mine are Benj Gallander, (obviously) Brian Acker and Peter Hodson.
